The algorithm of the velocity determination by using the Doppler shift measurements based on the total least-squares

Abstract：In order to solve the problem that the calculation result of the least square method is not ideal in data processing when the error of observation matrix is only considered and the large error of coefficient matrix is not considered, the total least-squares algorithm is adopted to calculate Doppler shift measurements,and the calculation model was derived and given, and the experiments of the calculation model were tested.Because the total least-squares algorithm can consider both the errors of the independent variable and the errors of the dependent variable, the defect of the least-squares algorithm is conquered.The results show that the calculation result of the total least-squares algorithm is prior to that of the least-squares algorithm, and most of the errors of the velocity are less than 0.15 m/s.
