Tracer test applied for prevention and control of limestone groundwater
Abstract:Panbel coal mine is located at the northern wing of Panji anticline, whose geological structure has developed and faults in different scales have cut limestone aquifers in different depths. In order to explore the hydraulic relationship between the limestone aquifer of C3 I group and that of an Ordovician system, and the transmissibility and water-resisting property of F1 and DF1 fault, KI has been chosen as the tracer by the method of tracer test, and the degree of hydraulic relationship has been studied. The results show that the limestone water of an Ordovician system has just kept a partial hydraulic relationship with the bottom of C33, but has no hydraulic relationship with the limestone aquifers of C~ and C~. In the experimental field, the lime- stone water of an Ordovician system recharges for aquifers at the bottom of C33 through different channels, more- over, both F1 and DF1 fault in outcrop limestone area are conductive water faults. Therefore, the test provides a scientific basis for the prevention and control of the limestone water at the bottom of the group-A coal during mining process.
