Study on flexural Performance of RC beams with near surface mounted helical rib steel wire
Abstract：Compared with FRP,the Reinforced beams with near surface mounted helical rib steel wire was not easy debonding failure,and their bearing capacity and safety could be improved significantly.For the convenience of the reinforced method in the application of practical engineering,this paper discussed the flexural performance of the NSM helical rib steel wire on the basis of the theory of concrete structures,and derived formulas for the bend moment,the ultimate moment,the minimal reinforced quantity,and the maximum reinforced quantity.The static load test study on nine beams was carried out.The calculating results agree well with the measured values from the tests of the studies.Thusly,the formulas could be applied to pertinent practical engineering.
