Abstract:According to the study of Cathaysian flora and coal-bearing strata in Yuzhou,in Dafengkou area between Shenhou town and Muojie village, the total Carboniferous-Permian exposed coal bearing strata thickness exceeds 950m,most of the coal seam number up to 89.We can find a natural outcrop of almost all of coal-bearing positions in northern China and Southern China here. The discover of this Cathaysian flora is a'iron pillar'of North China Late Paleozoic coal-forming basin study, and it plays the role of a pacesetter of coalfield geological exploration, stratigraphic correlation of Henan province.Under identification, the plant fossil excavated here contained 112 genera and 306 species,of which 137 species belong to 12 types of plants. In addition, there are clay beddings which used to fire Jun porcelain.
