Deformation measurement and pre-camber arrangement for the MSS test in construction of bridge
Abstract：In order to ensure the safety of a bridge, vertical load static pressure experiment must be done on a Movable Scaffolding System, in which the deformation observation is the foundation of elastic deformations, inelastic deformations and pre-camber setting calculations. This paper introduced the arrangement of the deformation monitoring points, discussed the deformation measurement methods, presented the computational results of elastic and inelastic deformations, and gave the pre-camber arrangement detail in a large bridge MSS test. Engineering practice has shown that the technology completely meets the accuracy requirements of bridge con- struction and has a bright future.
