Numerical simulation on the ignition delay time of ventilation air methane in coal mining
Abstract:he ignition delay time of ventilation air methane in coal mining induced by incident shock was nu- merically studied by Chemkin code and GRI-Mech 3.0 mechanisms. Initially, according to the sensitivity ana- lyzing of elementary reactions, the ignition delay time of ventilation air methane was defined by the topic value of the mole fraction of CH3. Then, main attentions were paid to the effects of the ventilation air methane con- centration, initial temperature and initial pressure, and the incident shock velocity on the ignition delay time. It is found that, with the increment of the incident shock velocity, the initial temperature and initial pressure of ventilation air methane, the temperature and the topic value of the mole fraction of CH3 were increased, and the ignition delay time would be shortened. The incident shock velocity play an important role of shortening the ignition delay time. The ventilation air methane concentration, during 0.1%- 1.0% , however, has no signif- icant effect on the ignition delay time.
