Abstract：It has been applied widely that the gas-way is set up in a mechanized mining face to solve its gas concentration exceeding limits，but the gas-way always perfoms well only in some normal situations．Based on the above mentioned，the relations of air-way and gas-way’s capability of discharging and gas from mining face follwing their air flows changing have been studied．It is concluded that the capability of discharging of gas from a face can be enhanced by increasing the air flows of air-way when gas concentration of the face badly exceeds limits，only on the condition that the same time the flow velocity and gas concentration of air-way is proper．
