Abstract：It has introduced the theory of singularity detection based on wavelet analytical method and calculation LIP exponent.The singularity degree for signal singularity point is explained in qualitative analysis，Wavelet transform in realizing process singularity detecting is illuminated by true collector signal of voltage and current.It is applied in power system relay protect for fault diagnosis，and predigested LIP exponent and singularity point algorithmic step.
