Abstract:The simplex centroid mixture design method was employed to investigate the effects of CO2 mixing on the properties of steel slag(SS)-fly ash(FA)concrete. The results indicate that while CO2 mixing significantly reduces the slump of concrete, incorporating appropriate contents of SS and FA improved its flowability.During early hydration,CO2 mixing intensify the adverse effects of FA while mitigating the negative effect of SS.In later stages, increasing FA content leads to continuous strength reduction.Microstructural analysis reveals that systems with high SS content form high-density calcite, improving structural density, while systems with high FA content produce low-density aragonite.
