Abstract:To investigate the diffusion behavior of ultraviolet-aged asphalt, component analysis,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy and fluorescence microscopy were employed on 90#asphalt sliced at various depths, dark temperature, and dark time. The content of light and heavy components, the absorption peak intensity of carbonyl and sulfoxide groups, the surface microstructure and the fluorescence micrograph of asphalt were compared and analyzed. The results show that diffusion occurs between the surface and interior of ultraviolet-aged asphalt, with functional groups and components diffusing along concentration gradient. The content change rate of carbonyl and sulfoxide functional groups effectively reflects the diffusion extent of aged asphalt, which correlates positively with dark temperature and dark time, among which dark temperature has the greatest impact on diffusion behavior of aged asphalt.
