Abstract:The biaxial tensile tests of nine types of domestic G-type membrane materials were carried out.The correlation among the biaxial tensile elastic modulus and the uniaxial ultimate tensile strength and various technical parameters was studied. The results show that the warp elastic modulus of all nine membranes is greater than the weft elastic modulus, and the Poisson's ratio exceeds 0.5.Tensile strength, weave count, fabric areal density, membrane areal density and thickness are positively correlates with the elastic modulus, and the fiber diameter is negatively correlated. The elastic modulus is not determined by a single factor but is the result of the interaction of multiple factors, providing a scientific basis for the multi-scale analysis and parametric design of the membranes.
