Preparation and Engineering Application of Manufactured Sand High-Performance Concrete for Ultra-long Span Catwalk Pumping

Abstract：To solve the technical challenges associated with concrete pumping construction for long-span bridges in high mountain and gorge regions,C30 manufactured sand high-performance concrete that meets the workability,pumpability,and mechanical performance was prepared through optimizing basic mix proportions,aggregates,mineral admixtures and admixture components,and its application of pumping construction was carried out.The results demonstrate that the application of ultra-long span catwalk structures exceeding 500 m in length as pumping construction platforms enables the fulfillment of remote concrete pumping construction specifications for bridges in high mountain and gorge areas.This concrete exhibites a slump of 250 mm,a fluidity of 605 mm,and an initial setting time exceeding 12 h.This concrete was successfully applied in the construction of the Guniuhe Bridge in Guizou province,yielding favorable social and economic benefits.
