Progress in Standardized Technology for Manufactured Sand and Reflections on Related Issues

Abstract：The progress of related standardization centered on the national standard for the manufactured aggregate was systematically expounded and analyzed,focusing on the innovations and changes made by the standard in terms of the definition of manufactured sand,gradation of construction sand,adsorption,particle shape of fine and coarse aggregate.The importance and correct understanding of gradation and adsorption for the manufactured sand quality were emphasized.At the same time,from the perspective of application to modern concrete,the characteristics and principles of optimal gradation of fine aggregate,the characterization indicators of fine aggregate fineness,the test method of methylene blue value for manufactured sand,the concept of large cementitious materials,and other academic and technical issues were discussed.The scientific support for the control and engineering application of high-quality aggregate made of sand and gravel are provided.
