Abstract:To achieve the utilization of industrial solid waste as low-carbon resource, cementitious materials were prepared by using steel slag powder(SS),granulated blast furnace slag powder(GBFS),and cement as raw materials, with CO2 mineralization the curing experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of pretreatment duration and SS-GBFS mixing ratio on synergistic enhancement effect of mechanical properties and microstructural evolution. The results demonstrate that proper pretreatment can enhance both compressive strength and CO2 sequestration efficiency.Under 60℃pretreatment for 12 h,the sample containing 50%SS and 10%GBFS achieves maximum compressive strength, while the sample with 40%SS+20%GBFS mixture exhibites the highest carbon sequestration rate. The carbonation process generated substantial CaCO3 precipitates, predominantly calcite with minor aragonite. The pore-filling effect induced by these carbonate crystals is identified as the critical reason for densified microstructure and consequent mechanical improvement in the cementitious matrix.
