Study on Preparation and Performance of Antibacterial Tile

Abstract：The preparation, antibacterial mechanism and antibacterial durability of the antibacterial tilemade by doping antibacterial agent based on alumino-silicate in the glaze were investigated. The an-tibacterial tile with bactericidal rate of 99.94 % for 24 h was prepared by doping 2 % (by mass) of an-tibacterial agent in the glaze. It was shown that the antibacterial tile was antibacterial durable and thesilver ion eluted from the surface of the tile was the only reason for its antibacterial activity.
