Abstract:[Objective]Elevator composite traction steel belts are prone to wear, deformation, broken wires and other defects when exposed to external stress for a long time.In severe cases,it may cause steel belt breakage accidents. To effectively prevent such safety accidents, relevant monitoring test on the fatigue failure of traction steel belts were carried out.[Methods]An test platform was set up on the fatigue testing machine to conduct tensile fatigue tests on the traction steel belt, simulating its fatigue failure process during repeated service. At the same time,high-precision weak magnetic sensors were used to collect the magnetic induction intensity signals on the surface of the steel strip, with a focus on analyzing the variation law of the peak-to-peak values of the signals.[Results]The test results show that, the variation of the peak-to-peak curve of magnetic induction intensity can reflect the entire fatigue failure process of the traction steel belt under stress without distortion, the fatigue failure process of the steel wires inside the traction steel belt does not develop steadily but shows distinct phased characteristics, and the peak-to-peak variation trend of magnetic induction intensity within the fatigue cycle can effectively warn of the fatigue failure of the traction steel belt.
