Abstract:[Objective]To address the problem of eccentric load in double-row self-aligning roller bearings under combined loads, two methods were proposed to alleviate the eccentric loading by changing the inner ring tilt angle and radial clearance of the bearing.[Methods]The geometric relation between the inner ring tilt angle and the initial contact angle of the bearing was analyzed.Based on the finite line contact theory and the slice method,a numerical calculation model for double-row self-aligning roller bearings was established, and the influence of the inner ring tilt angle and clearance on the bearing load capacity was studied.[Results]The results show that when the inner ring tilt angle is negative, the eccentric load on the bearing is aggravated;when the inner ring tilt angle is positive, the eccentric load on the bearing is alleviated and its service life is prolonged. When the radial clearance is positive, the contact load of the two rows of rollers increase;when the radial clearance is in the range of-0.06-0 mm,the degree of eccentric load of the bearing is significantly reduced.
