Abstract:[Objective]In planetary gearboxes, the vibration signals of various gear pairs are superimposed and influenced by transmission path effects, resulting in complex spectral components and increasing the difficulty of fault diagnosis. To investi-gate the vibration mechanism of the gearbox,a vibration model of the gearbox was proposed to enhance the characterization ca-pability of vibration signals.[Methods]Firstly, the main signal transmission paths of the planetary gearbox were analyzed, and the transmission path effect function was derived using signal propagation theory.Secondly, considering that the sensor mounted on the top of the gearbox can only detect vibration signals in the vertical direction,an excitation force projection function was es-tablished.Thirdly,by comprehensively considering multiple coupling factors,a vibration signal model of the planetary gearbox was constructed. Finally, through simulation, the spectral distribution patterns of vibration signals under the sun gear crack fault condition were analyzed and test validated.[Results]The results indicate that, compared with the traditional vibration signal model, the proposed model can reflect rich modulation sidebands, providing a basis for the accurate fault diagnosis of sun gears.
