Abstract:[Objective]Based on the proposition and requirements of the 2023 China College Students Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition Temperature Difference Driven Vehicle Competition,a design method for the key structure steering cam of the vehicle was proposed, and a temperature difference driven vehicle with a clock in open-loop route was manufactured.[Methods]Analyzing the trajectory of the vehicle and drawing the fitted running path for specific trajectory points on the simulated Long March route.Using differential thinking, the running path of the car was differentiated into several sets of points, and the corresponding cam profile radius and cam angle point set was obtained by using functional equations. The cam profile curve point set was obtained from the trigonometric relation, and this point set was imported into the CAD design software to obtain a two-dimensional graph of the cam profile. At the same time, the influence of the deviation of the cam base circle diameter on the overall running trajectory of the car was explored, and an innovative solution was proposed to correct the cam deviation by adding a differential cylinder fine tuning mechanism.[Results]This fine tuning mechanism is easy to operate, has high accuracy, and is more convenient for recording the impact of unit adjustment on the driving vehicle trajectory.Through the repeated practice,it has been found that the cam obtained by this method,in conjunction with the fine tuning mechanism, can be quickly and accurately adjusted to achieve the desired trajectory.
