Abstract:[Objective]Aiming at the problem that low-speed and heavy-duty plain bearings are prone to wear failure due to long-term operation,a coupled multi-factor wear prediction algorithm for plain bearings was proposed.[Methods]The bearing contact force distribution was calculated based on the contact theory. The Archard wear model was applied to analyze the wear characteristics and wear accumulation under different periods, considering the influence of bearing bush deformation, journal tilt and roughness on surface flow.[Results]The results show that the journal tilt makes the bearing film thickness and pressure no longer distribute uniformly along the axial direction, which significantly affects the lubrication characteristics of plain bearings. As wear occurs, the maximum solid contact pressure is reduced from 500 MPa to 30 MPa.At the same time, the maximum oil film pressure decreases, but the oil film bearing capacity increases by 50%;the carrying capacity was enhanced, but the eccentricity increased to 0.997.In actual work,it may worsen bearing lubrication and accelerate bearing failure. The model can analyze the wear characteristics under different cycles, providing an important basis for evaluating the bearing operating status and wear failure risk.
