Abstract:[Objective]A new type of double buckle push-pull chain automatic connection structure was introduced, which was used for horizontal picking and dropping of vehicles in stereo garages. However, during the verification of the actual vehicle life test, the connection joint frequently broke and failed. In order to solve this problem, the causes of automatic connection joint failure were deeply analyzed, and the design scheme was optimized to enhance the bearing capacity and durability of the joint.[Methods]In order to compare the advantages and disadvantages of two optimization schemes(the sleeve scheme and the roller scheme)and verify the effectiveness of the design, the finite element analysis method was firstly used to verify their static strength. Then, based on the actual vehicle test data, the force on the push-pull chain was analyzed, and static strength and fatigue tests were conducted to ensure that the joint can withstand the expected load without failure in practical applications.[Results]The test results show that the static strength test results are consistent with the calculated results, and fatigue life is increased by at least 20 times, indicating that the optimized connection joint has significantly improved in various performance indicators and meets the long-term operational needs of customers.
