Abstract:Objective:To conduct a scoping review of research on the applications of ecological momentary assessment(EMA)in breast cancer patients, explore its feasibility, and provide a new approach for symptoms management in breast cancer patients. Methods:Following the scoping review methodology, the literature databases, including the Cochrane Library,PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,CINAHL,CBM,CNKI and Wanfang database were searched. The search period is from the establishment of the database to January 9,2024.The included literatures were screened and analyzed. Results:A total of 2 617 literatures were retrieved, and 16 were selected.Summary and analysis were made from four aspects:study design characteristics(study purpose, objects and outcome indicators),EMA data collection methods(measurement methods, application methods, schedule characteristics and data sampling methods),response related results and main findings. Conclusions:The application of EMA in breast cancer patients is feasible and effective.By repeatedly measuring subjects'emotional experience in natural situations,it can accurately reflect the change trajectory of symptoms such as fatigue and pain, and provide reference for medical staff to conduct individualized intervention.Future research should integrate EMA with mobile health, home care and wearable devices to realize its potential in promoting personalized interventions for breast cancer patients.
