Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of personalized nutrition recipes combined with nutrition education in home-based patients with colorectal cancer. Methods:Eighty patients after radical resection of colorectal cancer were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 40 cases in each group. The experimental group received personalized nutrition recipes combined with nutrition education intervention, while the control group received conventional nutrition care. The nutritional status(serum total protein(TP),serum albumin(ALB),hemoglobin(Hb),peripheral blood lymphocyte count(TLC),Onodera Prognostic nutritional index(OPNI)),nutritional literacy and hope level(HHI)scores of the two groups at discharge, the first month after discharge, and the third month after discharge were compared. Results:The results showed that at different time points after the intervention, the levels of each nutritional index(TP,ALB,Hb,TLC,OPNI)in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group. The scores of nutritional literacy(total score, knowledge reserve, knowledge understanding, acquisition skills, application skills, interaction skills, and evaluation skills)were all higher than those of the control group. The HHI(total score, positive attitude, and positive action)scores were all higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Personalized nutrition recipes combined with nutrition education can effectively improve the nutritional status of patients with colorectal cancer at home, and enhance their nutritional literacy and hope level.
