Effects of systematic voice training combined with six-character formula voice correction on language function and voice quality in patients without recurrent laryngeal nerve injury after thyroid surgery

Abstract：Objective:To study the effects of systematic voice training combined with six-character formula voice correction on voice quality and language function in patients without recurrent laryngeal nerve injury after thyroid surgery.Methods:From June 2022 to June 2024,a total of 106 patients with no recurrent laryngeal nerve injury after thyroid surgery in hospital were selected and divided by random number table method.A total of 53 patients in the conventional group were given systematic voice training,and 53 patients in the combined group were given systematic voice training combined with six-character formula voice correction.The recovery of language function,voice quality,oral aero dynamics and dynamic laryngoscopy indexes of the two groups were compared.Results:After intervention,the level of fundamental frequency perturbation and amplitude perturbation in combined group was lower than that in conventional group,and the severity index of voice disturbance(DSI)was higher than that in conventional group(P<0.05).After intervention,the emotional,functional and physiological scores of the combined group were lower than those of the conventional group(P<0.05).After intervention,the glottic efficiency and glottic resistance of the combined group were higher than those of the conventional group,and the oral pressure and sound flow rate were lower than those of the conventional group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of vocal cord closure,vocal cord mucosal wave,vocal cord motion symmetry and vocal cord vibration regularity in the combined group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Systematic voice training combined with six-character formula voice correction can effectively improve the oral aerodynamics of patients without recurrent laryngeal nerve injury after thyroid surgery,promote the recovery of language function and improve voice quality.
