Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of medical game-assisted narrative nursing on anxiety and coping style in parents of children with first hypospadias surgery. Methods:A total of 114 groups of children and their parents who underwent the first hypospadias surgery in hospital from January 2024 to March 2025 were included.According to the order of admission, they were divided into the routine group(57 groups, routine intervention was carried out for their parents)and the study group(57 groups, medical game-assisted narrative nursing was carried out for their parents on the basis of the routine group).Among the subjects,1 case of parents in the routine group fell off,and 3 cases of parents in the study group fell off.Finally,110 groups of children and parents were included(56 groups in the routine group and 54 groups in the study group). The parents'Self-Rating Anxiety Scale score,Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire score, preoperative medical fear score and postoperative pain score were compared between the two groups. Results:On the morning of operation, the anxiety score of parents of children in the study group(51.30±4.42)points was lower than(53.45±4.96)points in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).On the morning of operation and 3 days after operation, the face scores of parents of children in the study group were(18.56±4.38)points and(21.67±5.15)points respectively, which were higher than that of the routine group(16.95±3.51)points and(18.36±4.86)points;the avoidance scores of parents of children in the study group were(17.41±2.83)points and(14.61±2.76)points,respectively,which were lower than those of the routine group(18.86±3.34)points and(17.09±2.94)points;the yield scores of parents of children in the study group were(12.15±2.06)points and(9.81±1.87)points,respectively,which were lower than those of the routine group(13.38±2.27)points and(11.55±2.13)points,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).On the morning of operation, the medical fear score of the children in the study group(22.17±3.57)points was lower than(24.79±4.25)points in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of children in the study group with a pain score of≤3 points 24 hours after the operation was 83.33%,which was higher than 58.93%in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Medical game-assisted narrative nursing can significantly reduce the preoperative anxiety of parents of children with first hypospadias surgery, improve their perioperative coping style, and indirectly reduce the preoperative medical fear and postoperative pain of children by optimizing parent-child interaction.
