Abstract:Under the background of global population aging and lifestyle transformation, type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)has become a major chronic metabolic disease that seriously endangers human health. At present, research on"different treatments of the same disease"mainly focused on traditional theoretical explanations, while systematic explorations of its modern pathophysiological mechanisms are relatively rare.At present, the research on"different treatments for the same disease"mainly focuses on the interpretation of traditional theories, while the systematic exploration of its modern pathophysiological mechanism is relatively scarce. Therefore, this article reviewed the different dietary care and personalized intervention regimens adopted of the T2DM.These differential regimens can also effectively control blood sugar.Through network pharmacological analysis,it was found that the core components playing a role in these dietary therapy regimens are non-nutrient active ingredients such as quercetin, kaempferol, and proanthocyanidins. The key mechanisms of their prevention and treatment of T2DM can be summarized as:functioning through three common core pathways:anti-inflammation,anti-oxidation,and improvement of metabolic disorders. This review aimed to explain the core concept of non-nutrient-assisted treatment of chronic diseases in the Family Nurse Diet Therapy(FNDT),and attempted to explore the scientific connotation of the principle of"different treatments for the same disease"in traditional Chinese medicine from the perspective of modern pathophysiology.
