Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of motor imagery therapy combined with kinesio tape on the kinesiophobia of patients after total knee arthroplasty. Methods:A total of 95 patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty and were admitted to the orthopedics department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Zhenjiang City from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research subjects.By using the time grouping method,48 patients with a kineshobia score>37 points who underwent total knee arthroplasty from January to September 2022 were taken as the control group. From October 2022 to June 2023,47 patients with a kineshobia score>37 who underwent total knee arthroplasty were selected as the experimental group. The control group received conventional early rehabilitation training, while the experimental group was treated with motor imagery therapy combined with kinesio tape on the basis of conventional rehabilitation training. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were evaluated by Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia(TSK-17),Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score(HSS),Numerical Rating Scale(NRS),the time of first getting out of bed after operation, the maximum distance walked on the third day after the operation and the time of hospitalization. Results:After intervention, the TSK-17 score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the HSS score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The time of first getting out of bed after operation in the experimental group was(1.77±0.90)days,and that in the control group was(2.60±0.96)days.The maximum walking distance on the third day after the operation in the experimental group was(86.74±16.36)m,and that in the control group was(62.48±14.39)m.The length of hospital stay in the experimental group was(9.40±4.45)days,and that in the control group was(11.65±5.06)days.The NRS score of the experimental group was(1.49±0.91)points one week after the operation, and that of the control group was(2.23±1.33)points.The comparison of the above data between the two groups showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Motor imagery therapy combined with kinesio tape can effectively reduce the level of kinesophobia in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty, alleviate postoperative pain and promote the recovery of knee joint function.
