Hospice care needs in patients with lung cancer in the past decade:a scoping review

Abstract:Objective:To conduct a scope review of the literature on hospice care needs of patients with lung cancer in the past ten years,so as to provide new ideas for clinical practice and future development.Methods:Based on the framework of palliative care for lung cancer patients,the CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,PubMed and Web of Science databases were searched by computer from January 1,2014 to March 1,2024,and the included literatures were summarized and analyzed.Results:A total of 12 articles were included.The results showed that patients with lung cancer had a large demand for hospice care,including self-care,stress and coping,symptom management,effective communication,problem solving,and maintaining and improving interpersonal relationship.The main influencing factors included demographic factors,family factors,disease factors,medical staff factors and hospital/policy factors.The main outcome indicators were psychological function and caregiver burden.Conclusions:Hospice care needs of patients with lung cancer are complex and affected by many factors.It is necessary to form a"one-core and multi-core"care model with the application of standardized assessment tools,the construction of information consultation platform,and the three-level linkage of medical,community-family,so as to explore the best nursing plan for hospice care for patients with lung cancer.
