Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of thinking training combined with finger exercises in elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)after stroke.Method:A total of 94 elderly MCI patients after stroke were selected as research subjects from June 2023 to June 2024.Based on the random number table method, the patients were divided into an observation group(47 cases)and a control group(47 cases). The patients in control group received routine nursing guidance, and the patients in observation group implemented thinking training combined with finger exercises for 3 months. The changes in cognitive level, executive ability, memory ability, and quality of life(QOL)before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups.Result:After the intervention, the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)score,Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)score,Behavioural Assessment of the Dysexecutive Syndrome(BADS)score,Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test-Ⅱ(RBMT-Ⅱ)score and Stroke Specific Quality of Life Scale(SS-QOL)score in the observation group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Thinking training combined with finger exercises could effectively improve the cognitive function, memory function, and executive ability of elderly MCI patients after stroke, thereby effectively improving the QOL of patients.
