Abstract:Objective:To explore the impact of health education based on the 5Ts feedback method on the treatment compliance of school-age children with Crohn's disease(CD).Methods:A total of 104 cases of school-age children with CD were selected as the research subjects from October 2022 to October 2023.The children were divided into observation group(n=52)and control group(n=52)based on the random number table method. The control group were received with routine health guidance, while the observation group were received with health education based on the 5Ts feedback method for a duration of 3 months. The treatment compliance, nutritional status, disease activity of children with CD and the improvement of quality of life before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results:After the intervention, the treatment compliance score and the score of IMPACT-Ⅲ in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention the scores of Pediatric Crohn's Disease Activity Index(PCDAI)and Nutritional Risk Screening Scale(NRS 2002)in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the levels of serum transferrin(TRF),serum albumin(ALB),and hemoglobin(Hb)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Health education based on the 5Ts feedback method can effectively improve the treatment compliance of children with CD,reduce disease activity, improve their nutritional status, and enhance their quality of life.
