Abstract:Objective:To investigate the status quo of health promotion behavior in elderly HIV/AIDS patients with mild cognitive impairment and analyze influencing factors. Methods:A total of 370 elderly HIV/AIDS patients with mild cognitive impairment were investigated by general data questionnaire,Health Promotion Lifestyle Rating Scale Ⅱ(HPLP-Ⅱ)and Self-efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale,(CDSES).Multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of health promotion behavior. Results:The total score of health promoting behaviors in elderly HIV/AIDS patients with mild cognitive impairment was(89.44±11.69).the nutrition dimension showed the highest score(2.98±0.33).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that self-efficacy of chronic disease management, residence, living style, educational level, monthly income and social activities were the main factors influencing health promotion behavior of elderly HIV/AIDS patients with mild cognitive impairment(P<0.05).Conclusions:The health promotion behavior of elderly HIV/AIDS patients with mild cognitive impairment was at a normal level.Clinical medical staff and AIDS case managers should implement precise management strategies for those demonstrating low self-efficacy in chronic disease management, rural residence, solitary living, limited education, low monthly income, and infrequent social participation. These tailored strategies aim to enhance chronic disease self-management capabilities, foster the establishment of healthy behaviors, and ultimately delay further cognitive decline among this vulnerable population.
