Abstract:Objective:To study the status and influencing factors of disease distress in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),and provide a basis for clinical intervention. Methods:A total of 131 IBD patients treated in hospital from May 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research subjects by convenience sampling method.General data questionnaire,Inflammatory Bowel Disease Distress Scale,Self-Management Behavior Scale and Distress Disclosure Index were used to investigate the patients.Univariate analysis and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the impact of different variables on the patient's disease distress. Results:The patient's disease distress sore was 83.32±8.22,self-management score was 102.51±9.33,and distress disclosure score was 38.45±4.24.Pearson correlation analysis showed that distress disclosure was positively correlated with self-management(r=0.352,P<0.05),disease distress was negatively correlated with distress disclosure(r=-0.512,P<0.05)and self-management(r=-0.362,P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in disease distress scores among IBD patients with different genders, clinical stages, and condition of the intestinal stoma(all P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that women(β=3.354,P<0.05),active phase patients(β=3.531,P<0.05),patients with intestinal stoma(β=4.216,P<0.05)had positive predictive value for disease distress, while distress disclosure(β=-0.446,P<0.05),self-management(β=-0.475,P<0.05)had negative predictive value for disease distress(all P<0.05).The above factors could explain 56.78%of the total variation. Conclusions:IBD patients experience varying degrees of disease distress.According to the influencing factors of disease distress, targeted measures can be taken by clinical healthcare professionals to alleviate the patient's disease distress and improve their quality of life.
