Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of perceived stress on post-traumatic growth in patients with stroke in recovery period and the mediating effect of psychological resilience. Methods:From February 2021 to May 2023,convenience sampling was used to select patients with stroke in recovery stage who were hospitalized in hospital as the research objects. The general Information Questionnaire,Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI),Perceived Stress Scale(PSS)and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)were used for investigation.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between post-traumatic growth score and perceived stress, psychological resilience score.Linear regression was used to analyze the mediating effect of psychological resilience between perceived stress and post-traumatic growth, and Bootstrap method was used to test the mediating effect. Results:A total of 191 questionnaires were distributed in this study,of which 186 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 97.38%.Among 186 stroke patients in recovery stage, the post-traumatic growth score was 52.14±6.99,the perceived stress score was 17.37±3.57,and the psychological resilience score was 56.17±9.82.Pearson correlation analysis showed that post-traumatic growth of stroke patients in recovery period was negatively correlated with perceived stress(r=-0.651,P<0.05)and positively correlated with psychological resilience(r=0.555,P<0.05).Linear regression analysis showed that perceived stress negatively affected psychological resilience and post-traumatic growth(β values were-1.623,-1.275,P<0.05).Both perceived stress and psychological resilience had a predictive effect on post-traumatic growth(P<0.05),which could explain 46.3%of the variation. The mediating effect value of psychological resilience between perceived stress and post-traumatic growth in patients with stroke at recovery stage was-0.303[95%CI(-0.455,-0.170)],which played a partial mediating role, accounting for 23.8%of the mediating effect. Conclusions:Perceived stress can directly affect post-traumatic growth in patients with stroke in the recovery period, and can also indirectly affect post-traumatic growth through the mediating effect of psychological resilience.
