Abstract:Objective:To construct the risk prediction Nomogram of fatigue in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and put forward nursing suggestions. Methods:A total of 217 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes who were treated in a Grade 3 A hospital in Zhengzhou City from March to November 2023 were selected as the investigation objects.A general information questionnaire,Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory(MFI-20),Health Questionnaire Scale(PHQ-9),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)were used to investigate the study participants.Risk factors for fatigue in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were screened using univariate and Logistic regression analysis, and fatigue risk prediction Nomogram models were constructed using R software. Results:The incidence of fatigue in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes was 84.3%.The risk factors for fatigue were ≥2 complications,duration>10 years, depressive symptoms, sleep disorders, and HbA1c≥7%(all P<0.05).A Nomogram model for fatigue risk prediction was constructed based on the above risk factors. The C-index of the Nomogram model was 0.792,and the area under ROC curve of the Nomogram for predicting fatigue risk in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes was 0.819[95%CI(0.735,0.852)].The calibration curve drawn shows that the predicted and actual values tend to agree. Conclusions:The incidence of fatigue in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is higher.≥2 complications,duration>10 years, depressive symptoms, sleep disorders,HbA1c≥7%are independent risk factors for fatigue in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The fatigue risk prediction Nomogram model based on the above risk factors has good prediction efficiency, and provides reference for medical workers to identify patients with high risk of fatigue and take timely intervention measures.
