Bibliometric analysis of catheter-related urinary tract infection based on Web of Science

Abstract:Objective:To retrieve literature on catheter-associated urinary tract infections,analyze the current research status and hotspots in this field.Methods:The literature on catheter-associated urinary tract infections published in the Web of Science core collection database from January 1,2013 to January 1,2023 was searched by computer,and the authors,institutions,countries and keywords were visualized by CiteSpace software.Results:A total of 472 papers were included.The number of papers published from 2013 to 2023 was small but showed an overall upward trend,and the country with the largest number of papers was the United States.INFECTION CONTROL AND HOSPITAL EPIDEMIOLOGY was an important core journal in this field.The prevention,risk factors,epidemiology and related guidelines of catheter-associated urinary tract infections were the focus of research in this field.Conclusions:The factors related to catheter-associated urinary tract infection and its prevention,epidemiology and consensus building of relevant guidelines are the focus of research,and"catheter"and"infection control"may become the focus and direction of future research.
