Visual analysis of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment of osteoporosis based on CiteSpace

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the research status,hot spot and trend of TCM external treatment in the field of osteoporosis prevention and treatment.Methods:The literature on the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis by external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine from August 31,2023 was retrieved from CNKI periodical full-text database,Wanfang,VIP and SinoMed database.CiteSpace 6.1 software was used to visually analyze the authors,institutions and keywords of the included literatures and draw the network map.Results:A total of 975 relevant papers were included,and multiple research teams were formed with Ouyang Gang and Zhao Yingxia as the core,and the core research institutions were represented by Fujian University of Chinese Medicine,Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine,Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine and other traditional Chinese medicine colleges.The high-frequency keywords include acupuncture,warm acupuncture,electroacupuncture,acupoint application,acupoint burying and so on.The top 5 keywords were summary,quality of life,bone metabolism,acupoint embedding and estradiol.Conclusions:There are various methods for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis by external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,and the research methods mainly focus on clinical research and basic experimental research.In the future,we can explore the research direction of the mechanism of action,pay attention to treatment safety,strengthen communication and cooperation among research teams,and promote the rapid development of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.
