Effect study on focused coping model for improving psychological status of parents of children with severe thalassemia
Abstract:Objective: To probe into the effect of focused coping model for psychological status of parents of children with severe thalassemia.Methods: 100 parents of 50 cases of severe thalassemia children who were in hospital and met the diagnostic and classification criterias of thalassemia were given corresponding psychological health education after the psychological condition investigation.According to focused solving modelfive steps to carry out nursing intervention,the psychological reaction was evaluated by the self-assessment lists of symptom SCL-90 before and after the intervention.Results: The somatization,obsessive-compulsive symptoms,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,terror and paranoia of the parents before the application of focused coping model were different from those after the application and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.01).Conclusions:The focused coping model could improve the psychological condition of thalassemia children's parents and help them maintain a positive state of mind and promote the better treatment and care for children.
