Application of continuing care in subjective tinnitus patients

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of continual care model in patients with subjective tinnitus discharged from the hospital.Methods:A total of 76 patients with subjective tinnitus discharged from March 2015 to Decem-ber 2015 were selected to receive continual care.At three days before charge and 6 months after intervention, Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI),Self Rating Scale of Sleep (SRSS)and satisfaction questionnaire were used to evaluate the severity of tinnitus,sleep status and nursing satisfaction of these patients.The data were an-alyzed statistically.Results:After the continuing care,the scores of THI,SRSS,and nursing satisfaction were sig-nificantly higher than those before continuing care.The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Con-clusion:Continuing care can effectively improve the degree of tinnitus,quality of life and sleep quality of dis-charged patients with tinnitus,enhance the cognition of tinnitus related knowledge,and improve the satisfaction of the patients to the medical staffs,which is worthy of promotion in clinical.
