Abstract：This article reviews the research progress of non drug intervention in improving the symptoms of xerostomia of critically ill patients.It points out that there is no strong evidence to verify which kind of interven-tion can effectively improve the symptoms of xerostomia,so there still need further research and exploration;there is no prospective study on improving the symptoms of xerostomia for critically ill patients in China;there is no clarify state about the size and standard of spray bottles in the improving specifications method research in China,and the compliance of safety and disinfection and isolation system need to be considered.
