Meta analysis of application effect of clinical nursing pathway for elderly patients with diabetes mellitus

Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the application effect of clinical nursing pathway for elderly patients with dia-betes mellitus.Methods:Domestic main databases including CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang database were searched. Randomized controlled trial of were included on comparison between nursing care based on clinical nursing path-way model and routine nursing.According to Jadad scale,quality of literature was evaluated and then effective data was extracted and META analysis of the results was carried by using RevMan5 .3 software.Results:A total of 1 2 randomized controlled trials were included.Meta analysis showed that health knowledge master rate,satis-faction rate and compliance of patients in clinical nursing pathway group were higher than that in conventional care group;fasting blood glucose and postprandial 2 h blood glucose levels were lower than that in conventional care group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:Application of clinical nurs-ing pathway in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus could enhance patients'satisfaction,compliance and health knowledge mastery rate,and improve the patient’s blood sugar level.
