Effect on the improvement of the nutritional status and quality of life in esophageal dimensional conformal radia-tion therapy patients after application of individualized nutritional care

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect on the improvement of the nutritional status and quality of life in esophageal dimensional conformal radiation therapy patients after application of individualized nutritional care. Methods:In strict accordance with the inclusion criteria selected out from January 2014 to December 2014,74 pa-tients with esophageal carcinoma dimensional conformal radiation therapy were randomly divided into observa-tion group (37 cases)and control group (37 cases);control group received usual care and observation group re-ceived individualized nutritional care.After one month of nursing,nutritional status of the two groups were compared;using the Quality of Life Assessment Scale Integrated (GQO-LI 74)to evaluate the quality of life of two groups of patients.Results:After one month’s nursing,BMI,TSF,TFN,PA and propagated indicators in the observation group were higher than that in control group and statistically significant (P<0.05).The social function,material life,psychological function and physical function scores of GQO-LI 74 in observation group were significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Take individualized nutritional care on esophageal cancer patients after dimensional conformal radiotherapy can improve the nutritional status of the patients and their quality of life.
