Influence of postpartum nursing intervention on women with gestational diabetes mellitus

Abstract:To explore the effect of postpartum nursing intervention on women with gestational diabe-tes mellitus(GDM).Methods:From October 2013 to December 2014 in our hospital a total of 80 cases of mater-nal with GDM were selected as the research objects,and they were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,40 cases in each.The patients in observation group were conducted by the researchers to carry out the diabetes education,dietary guidance,the development of per-sonalized exercise program,telephone,family follow up assistance guidance and other postpartum nursing management intervention.The patients in control group only received the general routine care.And then to com-pare body mass index(BMI),fasting blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c),the degree of disease cognition and other indicators of the two groups before nursing,3 days,42 days and 12 weeks after delivery.Re-sults:The BMI,fasting blood glucose and HbA1c levels were significantly lower than those in the control group 3 days,42 days and 12 weeks after delivery(P <0.05).And then compared two groups in the GDM definition and clinical manifestations,gestational glucose metabolism characteristics,GDM diagnosis,GDM correct treat-ment and other cognition of diseases,the correct rate of the observation group were significantly higher than the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:The correct postpartum nursing intervention could effectively reduce the BMI index,fasting blood glucose and HbA1c level of GDM,and significantly improve the cognition level of dis-ease of maternal.
