Abstract：A brief introduction of normalize use of patient controlled analgesia(PCA)as one of the methods for adult postoperative pain management in Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI)in the UK,the author also made a dis-cussion based on the present clinical status of PCA in China.In order to improve the outcomes for relief of post-operative pain,we can learn from the experience of PCA management in the western.
