Abstract:Objective:To study the influence of early systematic intestinal management on postoperative anal function in children with congenital anorectal malformations (ARM).Methods:The study was conducted in a children’s hospital in Chongqing,A total of 1 61 cases of children diagnosed with ARM and receiving surgery treatment were divided into control group (95 cases)and intervention group (66 cases),the patients in control group received general nursing,the patients in intervention group received early and systematic bowel manage-ment.The compliance behavior and anal function at postoperative six months were compared between both groups.Results:The compliance behavior and anal function of patients in observation group were better than that of control group.Conclusion:Early and systematic bowel management could improve the anal function of ill children after congenital anorectal malformation surgery.
