Qualitative research on early mental state of primary caregivers of children with craniocerebral trauma

Abstract：Objective:To know about the early psychological feeling of primary caregivers of children with cranio-cerebral trauma,so as to provide the reference for effective nursing intervention.Methods:A total of 10 primary caregivers of children with craniocerebral trauma received the semi structured interview by using the qualita-tive research method,and the data were analyzed with the LoBiondo Wood analysis method.Results:A total of 4 themes were obtained which included the too large mental stress,the burden of care,the high demand for med-ical care service and the uncertainty of the future by reading and analysis.Conclusion:As the main caregivers,the respondents expressed a strong emotion and urgent care needs in the interview.Nurses should understand the psychological state of the main caregivers of the children as soon as possible and carry out the psychological counseling for them,reduce their psychological burden and pay more attention to the assessment of care needs, strengthen doctor nurse cooperation and knowledge education,help them get more external support,so as to promote the early rehabilitation of ill children.
