Analysis of influencing factors of compliance of nurse doing head up behaviors based on theory of planned behavior

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the compliance of ICU nurses carrying out head up behaviors for patients with VAP by using the theory of planned behaviors,so as to provide evidences for improving nurses’behavior com-pliance thus to preventventilator associated pneumonia.Methods:Questionnaire was designed based on the the-ory of planned behavior,and it was used to survey the 35 ICU nurses in a third grade A hospital in Guangzhou. The regression was established to analyze the influencing factors of nurses carrying out bed head up.Results:It showed that the behavior attitude,subjective norms and perceived behavioral control were positive correlation with nurses carrying out bed head up(P <0.05).Conclusion:Subjective norms and behavior attitudes were the main factors affecting nurses carrying out bed head up.For the related factors,hospital and department can ana-lyze and define the reasons of poor compliance of nurses and make a targeted work program based on the theory of planned behaviors.
