Change characteristics of clinical symptoms in pituitary tumor surgery patients and related studies
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the change characteristics of clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients undergoing pituitary tumor surgery for 6 months,and to analyze the correlation between them.Methods:A total of 120 cases of pituitary tumor patients were investigated on clinical symptoms by using M.D.Anderson Symp-tom Inventory Brain Tumor Module(Chinese version)(MDASI BT)and Karnofsky Scale(KPS score)before preoperative 7ds,after postoperative 7ds and after postoperative 6th months.Data were statistically analyzed by descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression.Results:There was statistically significant difference in the pain,fatigue,dry mouth,visual impairment,impatient,upset and forgetfulness in patients after postoperative 6 months (P<0.05).The score of global quality of life of patients was significantly improved after postoperative 6 months compared with that after postoperative 7ds,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The pain,fatigue and visual impairment had no significant effect on their quality of life and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with that before preoperative 7ds and after post-operative 7ds,the clinical symptoms and the quality of life of the patients were significantly improved after post-operative 6 months.But there are the pain,fatigue,vision damage and other symptoms.It should receive the at-tention of the medical personnel and to formulate the nursing plan and prevent the recurrence of the disease.
