Influence of transtheoretical model based health education on health behaviors of stroke high risk population in community

Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of transtheoretical model based health education on health be-haviors of high risk population in stroke high risk population in community.Methods:A total of 96 cases of stroke high risk individuals were randomly divided into intervention group (48 cases)and control group (48 cases).The cases in intervention group received the health education with transtheoretical model.The cases in control group received community conventional health education.HPLPII was used to evaluate the health be-haviors of high risk individuals in both groups before and after 6 months of intervention.Results:After 6 months of intervention,except the nutrition and self realization dimension,the health behavior score in intervention group was significantly higher than that in control group,the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion:The transtheoretical model based health education can improve the health behaviors of high risk population of stroke.
