Correlation studies on social support and career decision making self efficacy of undergraduate nursing students

Abstract：Objective:To know about the status quo of social support and career decision making self efficacy of undergraduate nursing students and probe into the correlation between them,so as to provide the references for employment guidance and nursing education for nursing college students.Methods:This study used Social Support Scale and career decision making self efficacy scale were used and convenience sampling was select-ed,a total of 1 66 undergraduate nursing students from a nursing school in Wuhan were selected and investigated on social support and career decision making self efficacy.Results:The score of social support of undergradu-ate nursing students was 38.01±6.22,the score of career decision making self efficacy of undergraduate nurs-ing students was 130.14±23.63.The social support was positive correlated with career decision making self efficacy of undergraduate nursing students (r=0.375,P <0.01).Conclusion:The social support level and career decision making self efficacy of undergraduate nursing students were in the middle level or above level.The so-cial support was positive correlated with career decision making self efficacy of undergraduate nursing students.The social support career decision making self efficacy level of undergraduate nursing students can be improved by optimizing social support system,in order to make scientific and rational decision and promote the stability and development of nursing personnel.
