Influence of comprehensive nursing intervention on wound healing,complications and quality of life of patients un-derwent oral and maxillofacial surgery

Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of comprehensive nursing intervention on wound healing,com-plications and quality of life of patients underwent oral and maxillofacial surgery.Methods:A total of 200 cases of patients underwent oral and maxillofacial surgery were selected as the research objects from January 2013 to June 2014 in our hospital,and they were randomly divided into control group and observation group,40 cases in each.The patients in control group were given routine nursing care,and patients in observation group were given comprehensive nursing intervention.The wound healing,incidence of complications and SF 36 score were com-pared between both groups.Results:The oral wound healing of patients in observation group was obviously higher than that in control group (95.0% vs 77.0%),and the incidence of complications was lower than that in control group (7.0% vs 24.0%)(P <0.01).Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant differ-ence in score of SF 36 scale of patients between both groups (P >0.05);after the intervention,the score of SF 36 scale of patients in observation group was much higher than that in control group (P <0.01).Conclu-sion:Oral rinse used for patients underwent oral and maxillofacial surgery can promote wound healing,reduce the incidence of infection and improve the quality of life of patients.
